Soudal Trade Expanding Foam – General Purpose Gap Filling & Insulation Foam
The Soudal Trade Expanding Foam is a high-performance polyurethane expanding foam designed for gap filling, sealing, and insulation in both trade and DIY applications. With excellent expansion capacity and strong adhesion to most building materials, it provides a reliable solution for sealing voids, improving insulation, and reducing noise transfer.
Suitable for internal and external use, this versatile expanding foam is commonly used for window and door installation, filling cavities, and sealing openings in roof constructions, delivering both thermal and acoustic insulation benefits.
Surface Preparation
Minimal preparation is required, but for best results:
- Remove loose debris using a stiff brush
- Ensure surfaces are free from dust, grease, oil, and contaminants
- Treat any organic growth with a suitable fungicide
- Lightly dampen the surface to improve curing speed and foam performance
How to Apply Expanding Foam
- Shake the can thoroughly for at least 20 seconds
- Attach the nozzle securely and hold the can upside down during use
- Lightly moisten the surface before application
- Fill approximately one-third of the void, allowing the foam to expand fully
- For deeper gaps, allow the first layer to cure, then reapply with light moisture
This ensures maximum expansion, efficient coverage, and a professional finish.
Limitations & Important Notes
- Fully cured foam must be removed mechanically
- Uncured foam can be cleaned using a damp cloth
- Always dampen surfaces to achieve faster curing and better expansion results
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
