Protect P1 Grey Fibre Reinforced Roof Coating — 5kg
For roof maintenance and repair work, Protect P1 provides a high-build waterproof coating in a grey finish. This solvent-based acrylic formula is reinforced with fibres that help bridge small gaps and cracks. It becomes water resistant immediately after application and forms a protective barrier across the coated surface.
Protect P1 can be applied to the surfaces named on its label: flat roofs, pitched roofs, weathered asphalt, bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt, and galvanised or ferrous metal. The suitability of any coating depends on the particular roof and its condition, so assess the surface before starting work.

How much will you need?
At the recommended application rate, one 5kg tin covers approximately 2.5–5m². Coverage varies with the surface’s condition and porosity; allow for greater use on rough or porous areas.
Preparing and coating the surface
Start with a clean, dry surface. Remove loose material, moss, lichen, dirt and grease, and make sure no standing water remains. Stir Protect P1 thoroughly before use and continue stirring during application to maintain an even consistency. Apply generously with a brush, roller or squeegee, working evenly to achieve a continuous coating. According to the label, most roofing substrates do not need a primer.
Before use: Protect P1 is flammable. Keep it away from ignition sources, provide good ventilation and wear suitable protective gloves, eyewear and clothing. Do not use it near fishponds or allow it to enter drains. Refer to the full label for safety instructions.
