Fire and acoustic sealing for internal joints
Everbuild Fire Mate is a one-part, intumescent acrylic sealant for joints, voids and irregular openings in fire-rated walls and partitions. It can be used around suitable pipe and cable penetrations and for internal perimeter pointing of fire-rated door and window frames. Its formulation also provides acoustic sealing.
When exposed to temperatures above 125°C, Fire Mate expands to form a char that helps resist the passage of fire and smoke. Fire resistance is up to 4 hours in suitably designed joints; check the relevant test evidence and joint configuration for the installation you are specifying.

Application: Remove old sealant, loose coatings, dust and grease. Apply to clean, dry surfaces and use the correct backing and joint dimensions for the specified fire-stopping detail. Priming is generally unnecessary on most construction substrates, but test where suitability is uncertain.
