Surface Preparation
For best results, ensure all surfaces are:
- Clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil & old sealant
- Free from loose materials that may affect adhesion
💡 Top Tip:
For larger gaps, use expanding foam or a backing rod to reduce sealant waste and improve performance.
Application Instructions
- Cut the cartridge tip carefully (avoid damaging the thread)
- Cut nozzle at a 45° angle to suit the gap size
- Insert into a standard sealant gun
- Apply a smooth, continuous bead along the joint
- Tool within 15 minutes using a suitable applicator and soapy solution
Limitations
- Not suitable for aquarium use
- Do not use with bitumen or asphalt
- Not suitable for double glazing applications
- Avoid use on soft metals (e.g. lead, brass)
- Not suitable for perimeter pointing of PVCu
- Highly porous surfaces may require priming
- Do not apply to surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers
- Not paintable
