Product description
Bond It AS900 Acoustic Sealant & Wall Board Adhesive
Gaps around partition walls and ceilings can allow sound to pass through a building. Bond It AS900 Acoustic Sealant is a flexible, water-based sealant and adhesive designed for interior plasterboard dry lining systems, partition walls and suspended ceilings. It helps reduce noise transmission across voids and limits vibration and drumming in building panels.
AS900 can be used around the edges of drywall partitions, suspended ceilings and interior skirting boards, as well as around cut-outs and other gaps in wall systems. It can also be used when fixing plasterboard into partition systems to help reduce movement and vibration.

Preparation and application
Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from dust, oil and other contaminants. Highly porous or dusty surfaces, such as new plaster, may need priming.
Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to an opening slightly larger than the joint. Fit the cartridge into a suitable large-cartridge sealant gun, puncture the inner membrane and apply. Tool the sealant within 5 minutes and remove excess material with a damp cloth.
Bond It gives an approximate coverage of 10 linear metres with a 6mm bead per cartridge, depending on the surface condition and porosity. Full cure is approximately 24 hours, depending on bead thickness and temperature. Apply at 5°C to 25°C.
Is AS900 suitable for my job?
AS900 is intended for interior applications and low-movement cracks and joints. Bond It does not recommend it for external use, uPVC, wet areas or surfaces subject to movement. For overhead boarding, use it alongside mechanical fixings. It is an acoustic sealant; do not describe it as fire rated or intumescent.
